From 287 to the 115 kg division: revisiting Devon's EVW 27 weight discussion
Devon's original video appeared on October 16 in Vietnam. The arithmetic is striking, but it is not a complete weigh-in record.

Devon's official channel published Water cutting from 287 at 01:54:48 on October 16, 2026 in Vietnam. YouTube metadata records October 15 in its original offset. This is pre-event material being revisited after the October 24 Budapest contest.
The arithmetic
Interpreting 287 as pounds gives approximately 130.2 kg. The difference from a 115 kg limit is 15.2 kg, about 11.7% of that starting number. These are conversions between a video-title figure and a division limit, not a verified daily weight log.
What a title cannot establish
It does not establish filming time, scale conditions, the intermediate weights or the composition of any loss. It cannot support a claim that all 15.2 kg was water lost in a single final week.
Making a division and arriving ready
EVW lists men's heavyweight at up to 115 kg and official weigh-ins at least 24 hours before the event. A complete account of Devon's preparation would still need the official scale record, earlier measurements and match-day weight.
Why the discussion continues
Hub's view: the public figure makes preparation a reasonable question, but it does not prove why Sagov won. The opponent's specific tactical threat and seven-round contest remain part of the explanation. The original video is included so readers can separate Devon's publication from later speculation.
