Devon Larratt is a Canadian professional armwrestler and one of the most influential and accomplished athletes in the history of the sport. Born on April 24, 1975, Larratt is known for his exceptional endurance, technical versatility, hand control, and ability to adapt during long matches. Standing approximately 196 cm (6 ft 5 in), his height, long levers, and large hand have contributed significantly to his distinctive style.
Before becoming a full-time professional armwrestler, Larratt served for many years in the Canadian Armed Forces, including service with the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command. He began armwrestling at a young age and continued training and competing throughout his military career.
Larratt has competed successfully with both his right and left arms and across multiple weight divisions. During his career, he has held major titles in organizations such as WAL and East vs West and has faced many of the strongest armwrestlers of different generations. Technically, Larratt is particularly associated with the toproll, posting and open-arm defensive positions, including the King's Move. However, he is an unusually versatile puller who can also compete effectively inside a hook and transition into a shoulder or flop-wrist press. His endurance, table IQ and ability to make technical adjustments between rounds are considered among his greatest strengths.
