Levan Saginashvili, nicknamed “The Georgian Hulk,” is a Georgian professional armwrestler and one of the most dominant competitors in the history of the sport. Born on September 15, 1988, in Georgia, Saginashvili rose through the Georgian, European and World Armwrestling Federation circuits before establishing himself as the world's leading right-arm super heavyweight.
Saginashvili achieved major international success during the 2010s. He won multiple WAF World and European Championship titles, including championships with both arms, and became an absolute champion at major international tournaments. His combination of extraordinary hand, wrist, forearm and upper-body strength eventually carried him from tournament armwrestling into elite professional supermatches.
His professional rise included victories at the Zloty Tur World Cup, Vendetta All Stars and the PAL Top 8 series. In the 2019 Top 8 tournament, Saginashvili defeated Tim Bresnan, Kydyrgali Ongarbaev and Vitaly Laletin, winning every round of all three supermatches and establishing himself as the dominant right-arm heavyweight of his era.
Saginashvili later continued his undefeated professional run against elite opponents including Dave Chaffee, Devon Larratt, Ermes Gasparini and Jerry Cadorette. He defeated Larratt 6–0 at King of the Table 4 in 2022 and again defeated him 4–0 at East vs West 12 in 2024 to claim the Right-Arm Super Heavyweight World Championship. He subsequently defended his position at the top of the division, including a 5–0 victory over Ermes Gasparini at East vs West 18 in 2025.
Technically, Saginashvili is primarily associated with an extremely powerful toproll and overwhelming hand and wrist control. His exceptional pronation, cupping, back pressure and side pressure, combined with his enormous physical size, allow him to dominate opponents both in the setup and after the start. While best known today for his right arm, he was also an elite left-arm competitor during his WAF career and won major international championships with both arms.
Saginashvili is widely regarded as one of the strongest armwrestlers ever to compete and remains the benchmark of the modern right-arm Super Heavyweight division.
