Petrenko edges Chaffee 4–3: the interim title goes to the last round
Chaffee recovers from 1–3 to force a decider, but Petrenko wins the final round of the 115 kg interim-title match.

Contents
Oleg Petrenko beat Dave Chaffee 4–3 for the interim right-arm 115 kg world title at EVW 27. The interim designation matters; it is not evidence that all title questions were unified that night.
A lead tested to the limit
Petrenko won rounds 1, 3 and 4. Chaffee took 2, 5 and 6, tying the match before Petrenko won round 7. Unlike the other 3–1 leader in the headline 115 kg contests, Petrenko secured the decider.
The final opportunity
Hub's reading: Chaffee's consecutive late wins made the last setup especially significant. Petrenko took the point that settled it; the score cannot measure either man's recovery or percentage effort.
What follows?
Petrenko's interim-title win and Sagov's victory over Devon provide talking points for future matchmaking. They do not themselves announce Petrenko–Sagov or a unification date. The video is a recap of the completed contest.
